Calling all readers!!!
Written by Susan Barranca

Barranca's Book Buddies is now discussing Atonement by Ian McEwan. There are some interesting questions posted on the club's website which have already generated responses. If you have only seen the movie and not read the book, we would be intersted in your opinions of the film version.

We just finished discussing Water for Elephants, but you can still make your voice heard by commenting on those questions and answers too. It is never too late to join the fun! We had a nice discussion for our first book selection: we should have an even better discussion this month!

So please come join Barranca's Book Buddies and get in on the book discussion. We are also looking for suggestions for a book for next month! We haven't decided what to read and discuss after we finish with Atonement.

Not only is it a great place to have an on-line book chat, but it is free too!! How can you beat that?

See ya there!

Out Stealing Horses, by Per Petterson
This is a quiet book, with a subtle, quiet impact. Thankfully, such low-decibel works are still receiving attention in the world of smash-'em-ups and steamy scandal, where much of our entertainment l...

Pattern Recognition, by William Gibson
I wanted to like this book; I really, really did. I thought something set in a post-9/11 world that still has elements of cyberpunk--I could TOTALLY get on board with that. And yet...This book disap...
