Map + Poetry! (I Think I Died And Went to Heaven)
It’s not even April anymore and I’m still talking about poetry. Is this allowed?
I stumbled upon a cool new feature at poets.org that I have to share. It combines two of my favorite things: a map and poetry. It’s called the National Poetry Map and it’s very handy. It features a map of the U.S. and if you click on a state it brings up a page with details about featured poets from that state plus poetry events and other important poetry related information. Click here to check it out for yourself. It’d be fun to see which state is getting the most poetry action these days. Perhaps that will be my next story.

By the way, the parentheses in the title are for Bob Dylan. Here’s a quote from Dylan in Vanity Fair: “I always liked songs with parentheses in the title.” Yes, I’m aware that I haven’t written a song, but can you imagine if Mr. Dylan stumbled upon my little bitty, teeny weenie news blurb and the parentheses captured his attention? Okay, okay, I’m snapping out of it (but not without the chills).
