Portland writer Mike Daily marries fiction and music with his rock band, O’Grady—literally. We should have seen this coming; after all, his first book, Alarm, is a lyric novel complete with CDs of his excerpts set to music. His newest artistic venture is a song, “The Life & Times of Major Fiction.” The lyrics are titles from Fiction Collective Two, “an author-run, not-for-profit publisher of artistically adventurous, non-traditional fiction.” You must hear the song. Really, you must.
Also, be sure to thoroughly browse around the Fiction Collective Two website for more summer reading ideas.
