Nonfiction Lovers: Today Is All About You!

It occurred to me today that our news stories tend to sway in the direction of fiction or poetry—on most days. It’s not that we don’t love the “real” world (Ah! Not the scare quotes, too!) I don’t think, or maybe, yes, we are definitely trying to escape it at all cost. And that is pretty darn selfish, don’t you think? Us, escaping the “real” world with our fictionalized or poetic news pieces, which means, in turn, we are robbing you of the “real” world, too. How dare us! Some of you probably like it out there. So, for all of you “real-worlders,” I give you the latest best seller nonfiction list from SPD:
