New Rushdie Novel on the Horizon

Prepare, Rushdie fans, for his newest novel "Enchantress of Florence," coming out in June.

The story is set during the Mughal Empire, in Renaissance Florence. According to Random House, the story is about "a woman attempting to command her own destiny in a man's world."

Rushdie is the recipient of numerous prizes and awards, including the Booker Prize for Fiction for Midnight's Children, and the Whitbread Novel Award for The Satanic Verses.

Other novels by Rushdie include: Shame; The Jaguar Smile; East, West; The Ground Beneath Her Feet, and Shalimar the Clown.
