Celebrating Black History Month
| news item by sbarranca , I read to escape and I escape to read! |
written by Susan Barranca
DJR is celebrating Black History Month and we would like you to celebrate with us. We are looking for reviews and excerpts that will help us learn and read about Black History. We usually think of this month in terms of African American history, but it is so much more than that. It is African history; it is the history of colonization and slavery; it is the history of a struggle for freedom, and triumph. And, of course, it is African American history as well.
Please help us build our library of reviews and excerpts for Black History month. Also, notice that we are going to dedicate our feature review space and feature excerpt space to Black History Month.
So check out our features and reviews dedicated to Black History month, and please write and submit some of your own.
Thanks from all at DJR.
